Abstract
Professor Domar opened the discussion with the hope that the foundation of goodwill laid by Professor Robinson was strong enough to stand some stress. His intention was not merely to report on the papers under discussion, but to make some critical remarks about them and even to pick a quarrel or two with the authors.
