The Discussion On Professor Haberler’S Paper

  • Chapter

Part of the book series: International Economic Association Conference ((IEA))

Abstract

Professor Erik Lindahl (Sweden) was the first to speak. He said: Professor Haberler has given us the instructive lesson in the theory of business cycles that we have come to expect from the learned and perspicacious author of the famous book, Prosperity and Depression. A characteristic feature of Professor Haberler as a scholar is that he will not jump to hasty conclusions, but is anxious to take all the relevant points into consideration. Thus in his paper today we have been given a masterly presentation of the subject in all its aspects, which provides an excellent starting-point for our discussion.
