  • Michael Alexander
Chapter
Part of the Macmillan Master Guides book series

Abstract

The art of a tale lies in the telling of it, both in the narrative handling and in the language and style. Section 2.2 touched on plot, both the elegance of the double plot hanging on ‘water’ and also its elaboration in the tall story of the second Flood. Two further features of the narrative are narrative point of view, and realism of setting.
