Abstract

The morale of the work-force is reflected in their mental attitude towards work and by their enthusiasm for the roles they have been given to play. While morale, as a term, is usually associated with troops and armies, it is appropriate to refer to the morale of the work-force since the members of it are in a competitive situation: some organisations will prosper, others will perish. Morale is often the crucial factor which determines the organisation’s fate.
