Abstract

As we have already seen, the asset valuation of most properties is fairly straightforward and can be achieved by normal market analysis and comparison; no special techniques are thus needed. But we have also seen there are many problems with properties for which no market exists. These problems are considerable if we are valuing property owned by a profit-making concern, but they are also difficult and different if the properties are held by a public authority.
