Rhetorical Deductions in Sociological Texts
We have seen that there is a contrast between the methodological conception of induction and what can be found in sociological texts: not mere statements generalising about social phenomena, but three-dimensional argumentative structures, inevitably intervening into the social worlds of the readers to whom they are addressed. The same contrast occurs in the case of deduction.
