Abstract
Among the various nucleic acids, tRNA is the one which contains the highest and most varied number of modified nucleosides. Up to 15 of them have been found in a single molecule of eukaryotic tRNA with pseudouridine present up to 25% and the methylated nucleosides varying between 30% and 70% (see Agris, 1980).
