The Dispersion of Wages in the Cmea Countries (Including A Comparison with Austria)

Abstract

It is evident that the differentiation of wages and salaries is not the only source of incomes inequality. Nevertheless, with increasing availability of goods and services in the centrally planned economies of Eastern Europe, differences in the living conditions of various income groups can best be characterised through money earnings.
