Summary

The paper reviews the role of the CADCentre in the development and introduction of CAD/CAM systems for both manufacturers and users of machine tools. Based upon the successful development of the Centre’s graphical n.c. tape preparation systems, which now have a sound user base throughout the world, the paper will outline the development and introduction of two recent systems in the fields of interactive draughting and planning and estimating.
