Abstract

Everyone knows that the tactics of the Soviet ground forces are designed for the fighting of a mobile, fast-moving battle. Speed is of the essence. If by any chance there is anyone who is still unaware of the fact, he is advised to cough up his $2.50, or whatever the price is nowadays, and buy a copy of the Soviet textbook The Offensive, by Colonel A. A. Sidorenko, which has been translated into English by the US Air Force and is freely available in the West.
