The Strengths of the Computer

  • Trevor J. Bentley

Abstract

The computer’s strengths are based on three prime characteristics; these are an ability to calculate, data storage capacity and speed. These characteristics make the computer a powerful and useful tool. There are many reasons for using computers. Some of the reasons are rather negative, but others are positive and form the strengths of the computer. The negative reasons are associated with typical human traits, such as wanting the latest machine or toy, and are concerned with status and power.
