Abstract
The ‘sickness’ of pregnancy ranges from occasional nausea to the vomiting of everything taken, both solids and fluids, and it usually occurs in the first trimester. The more severe forms are not as common as they were. It is very important to exclude other causes of vomiting before a diagnosis of hyperemesis is made.
