Life-saving Decision-making: 1 Road Safety

  • Gavin H. Mooney
Chapter

Abstract

Some of the problems which exist in policy areas concerned with life saving are ones which are common to decision-making in the public sector generally. Others, however, are more specific. The types of problems which emerge and the nature of decision-making in lifesaving activities are now discussed using the examples of road safety and health care, the former in this chapter and the latter in chapter 4.
