Abstract
Although the empirical laws laid down by Newton do not actually mention angular or rotational motion, the necessary ideas are contained in Newton’s laws of motion and it is worth repeating them here.
A particle continues in a state of rest or uniform velocity in a straight line unless acted on by a force.
