Methodological Problems Associated with Stress Research



Psychologists, sociologists and management scientists are only beginning to explore systematically the extent of managerial stress, indeed, occupational stress generally. It is important therefore to conclude any assessment of an organisational phenomenon of this sort by examining some of the methodological shortcomings of current research work in the field to help point the way for future efforts and to forewarn the interested individual of the difficulties of interpretation of the research reported to date.
