Abstract

The primary aim of this book is to teach students of the sciences (including engineering) how to use an electronic digital computer to calculate solutions to problems. All of the examples used in the book involve real problems, however simple, but they have been chosen to illustrate the text and not to provide ready-made computer packages for the solution of general classes of problem.
