Abstract
I am honored, both personally and professionally, to welcome the participants of this Seminar. I think the manner in which this young science of Biomechanics and this even younger International Group have developed is truly a wonderful thing. The degree to which scientists from a variety of nations and a variety of cultures have worked together to develop this field of study is a true example to us all; an example of international cooperation at its best. We welcome you all to Penn State and hope that we can make your stay with us both personally and professionally satisfying.
