Abstract
Following are summaries of the principal cases which have come before the Court of Justice. They fall into two main categories: appeals against Commission Decisions and referrals to the Court of Justice by a national Court to determine whether the case falls under Article 85 or 86 of the Treaty and must be judged by the Community whose law, where there is conflict between national and Community law, supersedes national law.
