Abstract

For maximum effectiveness there is a need, within any manufacturing company, to provide a system which will ensure that work flow, inventories and changing levels of production are managed in a manner that will be reflected in, and improve, the overall manufacturing performance. The procedures and policies adopted and used comprise a production planning and control system.
