Abstract

What is it to be a human soul? This is a vast question, it suggests a profound inquiry into the nature and depth and complexity of human personality, an exercise in spiritual psychology. Such an exercise is beyond my powers and is not the object of this essay. I hope in this essay merely to clarify one or two essential features of the concept of a human soul.
