Abstract

The fabrication of many plastics products often involves welding, sealing or adhesion of plastics sheets or preformed components. Several methods of achieving satisfactory bonds are currently in use, these include: high frequency welding; ultrasonic welding; heat sealing; hot gas welding; solvent welding; and spin welding.
