Abstract
The purpose of an anti-siphon or resealing trap is to maintain the water seal of the trap without the installation of trap ventilating or anti-siphon pipes. The sanitary installation therefore, is simple and neat, but a thorough venting of the waste or soil pipe is not provided, which on long runs of pipe is a disadvantage that must be considered. With all types of anti-siphon or resealing traps the method of preserving the water seal is accomplished by means of a reserve chamber or reservoir forming part of the trap.
