Abstract

Some of the most serious objections that the Argument from Design has had to meet — in particular, those made by Hume in his Dialogues concerning Natural Religion — have been directed at its character as an analogical argument. In the present chapter I consider some of the chief difficulties that arise, or have been thought to arise, in this connection.
