Generation of millimeter-waves by means of electron beam cyclotron resonance
We had already held an experiment of the millimeter wave oscillation using the interaction between an M type cyclotron fast wave in an electron beam and a TEM wave on a strip line with a demountable device. The oscillation wavelength was varied in stepwise from 8.9 to 6.4 mm by changing the magnetic field and the output power was 50 mW at λ = 8.4 mm and 35 mW at λ = 6. 4 mm . The interaction process had been investigated analytically and experimentally .
