The factors which influence the spread of pathogens within crop areas
Numerous factors influence the extent and speed of spread of pathogens through crop areas. In this chapter they are considered under plant factors, pathogen factors, biotic factors, and environmental factors, affecting not only production, liberation and dispersal of propagules, and survival of inoculum between successive plantings of a susceptible crop, but also infection of the plant, as discussed in Chapter 16.
