Abstract

As discussed in chapter 7, the fear of communism drove many kings and conservatives into the arms of fascists and right-wing authoritarian leaders. These leaders vowed to save their country from the left by taking power themselves. Fascists and right-wing authoritarianism preyed on these fears that led to massive internal conflict and eventually world war.
