When people encounter moral dilemmas at work and have to decide on a course of action, they can respond intuitively or analytically. From the analytic toolbox, they can pick up utilitarian and duty ethics considerations, and the principles of equality and publicity. This chapter adds content to the toolbox by introducing the Navigation Wheel, a figure designed to put ethical considerations into a context where the dimensions of law, identity, morality, reputation, and economy also matter. The Navigation Wheel can assist the decision-maker in keeping track of these six dimensions of the available alternatives. The priority of these dimensions are open to discussion in each separate case.
