Abstract
As an alternative to the car or public transport , many cities are investing in systems that allow users to borrow a bicycle at one point and return it somewhere else. By June 2014, 712 cities around the world had such a system for bicycle sharing, totalling roughly 806,200 bicycles and 37,500 bicycle stations. But how are these bicycles distributed among the stations? And how can you be sure there will be a free space to park your bike at your destination?
