Abstract
Approaching the patient with cardiovascular disease begins with a comprehensive cardiac history and careful physical examination. During medical training, great emphasis is placed on thorough, extensive, and complete histories and physical exams. With careful focus and direction, examining the cardiac patient should lead the practitioner to a diagnosis prior to any lab or imaging tests. The goal of this chapter will be to help the reader refresh his or her bed side skills.
