End of Life Care in Neurological Disease

Abstract

Palliative care services in Africa have been involved in the care of people with motor neuron disease for many years and the aim has been to work in a collaborative way with all services, to improve quality of care for patients and their families. Due to the particular circumstances in Africa this has extended to involvement with the neurological complications of HIV infection and neurosurgical services, for people following head injury or surgery.
