Abstract
Adolescence spans the gap between childhood and adulthood and is a period of physical and emotional change. For many young people it is a time when they may engage in risk taking behaviours including sexual activity, alcohol, smoking and drugs. This chapter will examine factors influencing such behaviours in teenagers with and without the added burden of diabetes.
