Abstract
As must be clear at this stage in the book, the new healthcare infrastructure must deal more with everyday life than with intensive care, more with homes than with hospitals, more with chronic care than with acute care. This orientation affects what health features should be measured at what frequency. The effective measurements are focused upon Rings 2, 3, 4 as discussed in Sects. 13.2–13.4 below. Section 13.1 discusses how to design a new health system using existing commercial technologies. Section 13.5 concludes by outlining the new Provider Pyramid possible with the new Healthcare Infrastructure.
