Advanced Dialogue Systems: Some Case Studies
Most current spoken dialogue systems support a limited type of dialogue, in which the system controls the interaction and the user responds to carefully designed system prompts. These dialogues are suitable for simple, well-structured tasks. Chapters 6–11 showed how this type of system can be implemented using a number of different toolkits and development environments.
