Abstract
Let x be a set. Let
Since x can be well-ordered (by Zermelo’s Theorem) and hence is equinumerous with at least one ordinal number, N(x) is a non-empty subclass of the well-ordered class On and hence has an E-least member. This E-least member of N(x) is called the cardinal of x and is denoted by Card x.
