Abstract

The multimedia applications developer is often presented with challenges that at times go beyond informatics technologies. In this paper, the MCRLab experiences in various multimedia applications development are described. Applications developed include tele-medicine, tele-conferencing with joint text editing, multimedia mail, multimedia fax, multimedia news-on-demand and shared multimedia workspaces in distance learning.
