Abstract
In the previous chapters we discussed MIMO techniques for isolated singleuser and multiuser channels where the received signal is corrupted only by thermal noise. In this and the following chapter, we study MIMO techniques in cellular networks where the performance is corrupted by co-channel interference in addition to thermal noise. In this chapter, we describe a cellular network model and methodology for evaluating its performance by numerical simulation. The following chapter presents performance results and insights for MIMO system design.
