Thoracoscopic Sympathectomy for Hyperhidrosis: A Lagniappe

  • Chapter
  • 1094 Accesses

The Oxford English Dictionary defines lagniappe as “something given as a bonus or gratuity, extra reward.” This brief chapter discusses thoracoscopic sympathectomy, the only nongastrointestinal subject included in this manual. The editor offers it as a lagniappe. As such, it is briefer than the previous chapters, and opposing viewpoints are not given.
