Advances in cancer treatment in recent years have extended and enhanced the lives of millions of cancer survivors [1]. As pointed out in many of the earlier chapters in this book, the epidemiology indicates that cancer survivors are living longer and working longer than ever before. Returning to work and pursing one’s career development has been identified as a critical part of enhancing the cancer survivorship experience [2].

With the passage of the ADA, the federal government has provided funding to many entities to provide technical assistance and consultations to employers, rehabilitation and healthcare professionals, and persons with disabilities regarding the ADA and accommodations of people with disabilities in the workplace, including cancer survivors. The following is a list of selected technical assistance resources for reasonable accommodations:
Job Accommodation Network (JAN). It is a free service of the Office of Disability Employment Policy, U.S. Department of Labor, developed to employers with appropriate accommodations for employees under ADA.
