As construction of SLAC proceeded, 1 outside commitments did not diminish. My PSAC membership did not terminate until 1964, and I continued to serve as a consultant to the White House’s Office of Science and Technology until 1973. In parallel, in 1965 I was recruited to serve as a member of JASON. As is well known, the JASON group is composed of academics who, particularly during the summer months, undertake independent studies on national security matters for various governmental bodies
