Abstract
Information about the child’s neuropsychological, cognitive, academic, and psychosocial status forms the basis for designing integrated intervention and treatment plans for children and adolescents with brain-related disorders. Efforts in developing models of neuropsychological intervention have been expanding in recent years. Two models are described in this chapter: the Multistage Neuropsychological Assessment-Intervention Model and the developmental neuropsychological remediation/habilitation framework designed by Rourke (1994). Systematic rehabilitation procedures developed by Reitan and Wolfson (1992) are also briefly reviewed. This chapter presents the underlying features of each model.
