Abstract

Complications associated with arthroscopic shoulder surgery have been reviewed by numerous authors. Where most review studies suggest the rate varies between 5.8% and 9.5%, all recent review studies published make note of underreporting of complications and lack of consensus over what is considered a complication, which makes accurate assessment of the true rate of complications difficult.
