Abstract
The WebQuest model of organising classroom learning inquiries involving resources on the Internet has become an important component of technology teacher education at one university. Educators create realistic, challenging learning environments that are related to their own curriculum and students. Through WebQuests, they practice guiding and directing learning rather than prescribing it. The WebQuest model has flexibility as well as structure. It allows for diversity and co-operation as well as creativity. As a result of the WebQuest development activity, educators are empowered and connected with each other and turned on to active learning that is facilitated by technology.
