Abstract

Rosabeth Moss Kanter has written a wide variety of different books, primarily on management and management techniques. One of her main concepts brought together empowerment, organizational change management and bureaucracy. Kanter is a strong supporter of participative management and claims that management should use employees in order to achieve synergy within the organization. She also is a strong supporter of flat organization structures, with less hierarchical control over the organization, which she feels would stifle empowerment and entrepreneurial opportunities.
