Abstract

The screen for this private residence was imagined as capable of dividing the space while conveying images, both reflected and transmitted. Designed by Richard Meier & Partners, the residence included a gallery space for the display of the client’s extensive collection of modern and contemporary art. The dining room was conceived as a flexible space adjoining the gallery which would also function as an ancillary reception area for the gallery. It was suggested by the architect that JCDA propose a design for a glass screen between the two spaces.
