Abstract
Street lighting, the illumination of buildings, the lighting of objects, fountains and such like all require maintenance. It is unpleasant when a section of the lighting stops working, particularly when street lighting is involved. A building that is only partially illuminated is not a pretty sight. In such a case, it is preferable to switch off all of the lighting.
