Abstract
The Xilinx XC6200 is the first commercially available FPGA to be specifically designed for use within microprocessor based systems. This paper discusses the architecture of the key element in this device: the FastMap ℳ processor interface. Salient features of the user-programmable part of the XC6200 are also described.
