Abstract

In a competition market, quality has become the key issue for the survival of software producing companies. Software quality encompasses many topics. In this paper a design method quality is discussed and an overview of an object-oriented (OO) design method called Objects Design Method (ODM) is provided. ODM benefits of all quality factors of the OO paradigm and supports some quality concepts that systematically grant a better design quality. As an application of ODM, the design of the Universal Personal Telecommunication (UPT) service has been carried out and its relevant quality aspects and experience learned have been reported.
