Abstract

The Intelligent Network architecture has been designed in order to facilitate the rapid introduction of services in telecommunications networks. The first implementations are currently realized by the telecommunications operators and new services are going to be developed, such as the Universal Personal Telecommunication service. Nevertheless these developments prove that there are some limits, especially due to the multi-operator context. For that, interworking of services is needed.

We present in this paper some mechanisms to achieve the Universal Personal Telecommunication (UPT) service in a muli-operator environment based on the analysis of the requirements for the UPT operation.
