Abstract

In science-education the discussion on the role of theory teaching has been going on for decades. Some persons claim that without a deep and thorough foundation in theory no serious work or understanding is possible, others tend to belittle theory as something on the fringes, for university professors only, as much and as little important as some kinds of esoteric forms of art.
