Computers in local administrative offices (province of Salzburg) — aspects of stress, strain and training
This study, recently undertaken in communities in the county of Salzburg which are IOZ (Informatics and Organization Center Salzburg) customers, deals with the new situation which computerized administration brought to the offices: It evaluates the software, the ability of the clerks to handle hard- and software, the training of the personnel, the nature and the frequency of training sessions, the conditions under which people were allowed to attend computer training classes, the ergonomic aspects of the working place, and the subjective feelings of the clerks towards computerization (stress, strain, readiness towards training, and so on).
